So You Want to Start Your Own Clothing Group!
First of all, you've made a great decision to buy a clothing group! I have one as well and it is a great investment. That will land you some robux even when you lose builders club.
Some tips:
- DO NOT COPY clothing. This is just immoral, and you have to think about the people who wholeheartedly enjoy spending some of their life to make these clothes. Some even take 1 hour+ altogether! It is not even good for you, because people gawk at copied over posted clothing. You will end up with a bad reputation.
- Never give up. I have to be honest, making clothing is actually quite easy. Once you've mastered how the template works, you've got everything! There are many tutorials on Youtube which will teach you how to design clothing.
There are also many wonderful free programs you can download:
-If you are on Windows, Paint.net is the most commonly used one even by pros. I also think it is the best for beginners!
-If you are on a mac, Gimp is the way to go. It looks hard at first if you are totally new to graphic design, but trust me it is not.
-If you feel like it is too steep of a learning curve for you, definitely go for Pixlr. Not only is it easy to use, but it is accessible by web browser. No download needed!

3. Take baby steps, if you feel like you really can't do it. In the earlier days of Roblox, many kids still made good clothing using microsoft paint. They used images from google, and just slapped them in proportion to the template. Boy did it get sales!
If you already aim way too high for perfection, you will get no where. This applies to everything in life, including building and scripting.

4. Practice makes better! Self explanatory. Never compare yourself to other designers (especially those who have had more years experience than you). The more you design, the faster you will get better.
5. Most importantly, have fun. If you reallly know that you are doing good- then you are having a blast creating clothing. This creates flow, and thats how people get great at what they do.
6. Make sure your group has a memorable name. Group names with way too many symbols, digits, spice, fonts, are hard to type into the Roblox catalog and may make a group look fishy in general. It has to be easy to remember and type.
7. Advertise your clothing group, spread the word! You can do this on clothing design and developer discords (such as Hidden Developer, and RDC). Make sure you get a twitter and other social media account as well. I will make a post about this soon!
8. Don't feel like clothing design truly is your thing? Don't fret. This happens. Some people are more of a natural businessman, leader or developer than a clothing designer. This is when you can hire them! Group recruiting plaza and the Discord servers are perfect for that.
9. Have an attractive group icon.
10. Find some friends to help you/ co-own if you want! The more the merrier.
11. Use good titles and descriptions in your clothing. DO NOT have clothing which just says "shirt shirt shirt", but also not "Insert Name ORIGINAL 🔥🔥🔥 HOT 🔥". That is overused by deceptive groups.
Try to have original as possible titles which are simple enough to search on the catalog. You may put your name in it as well (I actually recommend this)!
And example of a shirt title: Black Opal Suit by Name
As for descriptions, ALWAYS have your name in it and add a message saying that you do not support copying whatsoever. The more honest sounding, and detailed the message, the better. This will lead people into trusting your content more.
12. NEVER, EVER neglect the template. If you have an empty white template with no customized background with a watermark and name, you are doomed. Once you are copied, it makes it hard to find the original designer.... unless you have a name on something.
